Season of renovation of apartments, usually starts in the spring, and as the workers say, they have most work right now. You don't need a new apartment to keep your home pleasant and modern. This is an example how a reconstructed apartment in an old building can look like.

People in Belgrade mostly renovate dilapidated bathrooms, change the floors, paint the walls or put wallpapers. Few people decide to restore the entire apartment because it takes a lot of money, and that usually happens when new owners want to completely decorate it before they move in.
The most important thing is to set a budget, and if you decide do to all the work by yourself, you can safe few hundreds of euros.
However, construction workers warn that it is always smarter to hire a professional because there are often cases that people hire workers because of the amateur mistakes and then the renovation costs even more.
Ceramics workers say that they don't need more than 5-6 days for an average bathroom, and that the average price per square tiling is seven euros.
- If you secure the materials needed alone or with agreement with the workers, your bathroom will be done soon. People mostly make mistakes when putting the tiles, they turn out uneven, and then they call to fix them - said Head worker Petar Lalic (48) from Belgrade.
He is doing complete renovations of apartments, family houses, renovations of bathrooms, painting and placing the parquets and setting up installations.
Complete renovation of apartment, which includes replacement of water and sewage pipes, tile fixing and installation of sanitary facilities, costs at least 800 euros.
The price depends from the desires of the customers and the conditions the apartment is in.
They say that painting and installation of laminate flooring can be done by people themselves, but it takes experience or expert advice.
Even though it looks very simple, laminate requires certain skills. A good worker doesn't start working without a flat floor, otherwise there can be big problems with laminate.
Replacing the wiring, switchboards and lighting for a 60 square meters apartment costs more than 500 euros.
You should never joke around with installations and certain requirements should be respected, like special cables for big consumers, separation of the lighting from connectors and similar.
You need to know in advance how many ports there will be in the room, and at least five are places per room now.
