Students planted an oak tree next to the sports center 25th May, so they could get the attention of citizens to environmental protection.

- We see for ourselves that the climate is changing daily, plant and animal species are endangered, and here, we have snow in April. I think it is high time we did something together to change that - said Nikola Dobrota for our portal, member of the student organization oikos for sustainable economics and management.

As he said, the changes won't be visible today, nor tomorrow, maybe we won't even live to see them, but it is important to persevere in this goal.

- I usually like to say: "We did not inherit our Earth from our ancestors, but we are borrowing it from our descendants", however, today, this sentence is far from the truth. Thanks to the municipality "Stari Grad" that met our needs - said Nikola.
