Crypt of Memorial Temple of Saint Sava, Temple beneath the temple bears the official name Temple of the Holy Martyr Prince Lazar. The base of the crypt itself was formerly much smaller and located beneath the altar of the temple, taking up space of about 250 square meters and was designed for the storage of human remains of Serbian patriarchs.
15,000 square meters of mosaics will be made in the Temple, and those works should be completed in eight years.
All that is left is to arrange external and internal plateaus and these jobs will be done in parallel, and those are final , functional and installation works and the installation of equipment in the temple.
Part of the crypt for worship and organization of cultural events is painted, and program is made for painting the old crypt. Crypt received much wider dimension and its basis is now 1.800 square meters.

There have been more intensive work on construction, craft and later on iconography works in the crypt since 2007. Characteristic for it is that it has no west entrance, but north and south side.
Crypt can be used for worship and as a venue for cultural events - debates, performances, exhibitions, lectures.
Modern decorative lighting of identical temperature gives an extra sense of grandeur coloring. Golden color dominates the vault. Constant pleasant temperature creates additional pleasant feeling.
