Metropolitan of Prespa-Pelagonija and Australian and New Zealand Administrator of Macedonian Orthodox Church, Bishop Petar, said at the press conference that this is indeed a miraculous icon, because it was only by a miracle that it returned from Belgrade.

Icon is dedicated to the Mother of God from 1748, which is based on motifs called "Decent est", first time it was painted in the monasteries of Holy Mountain.

This icon was stolen from a church in Bitola a few decades ago, and ended up with a collector in Belgrade after various smuggling routes and criminal channels.

Ever since he acquired it, he didn't have a good night's sleep. The icon of Mother of God appeared to him often at night, beginning him to return it from where it was stolen.

The collector could not endure the nightmares anymore, so he got in contact with the bishop Petar and he offered to return the icon, under one condition - not to be reported to the police.

- I promised him, and i will not report him to the police, he just needs to return the icon, an so he did. Other wonders happened later on, and they are happening now, but we won't talk about them now, maybe in some year to come, said bishop Petar.

After restoration, before the great christian holiday Easter, is displayed in the Church temple of Holy Mother of God in Bitola.
