Nis is becoming the center of southeast Europe! Vucic: Everybody wants to invest here

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic attended the signing between the Ministry of Economy and company "Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc." (IME) yesterday in Niska Banja and said that Nis is becoming the center of Southeast Europe. In a speech after the signing he said that said he was proud of the fact that Nis will become a center of the region, noting that the government contributed in large amount, and to the representatives of IME he said he wanted to see the 1,250 employees, for them to be satisfied with families in Niska Banja and that he is very pleased that the contract was signed.

He recalled that a few months ago, when he was in Nis, he said that he would do a lot for this place, listing that Johnson Electric were brought, which will have 3.000 employees, Aster..., and that Cumtobel will come soon, and they are "Mercedes in the world of lights" who will bring new quality.

The government has allocated a lot of money for Nis, he said, as an example he noted that for IME 6.800 euros have been set aside per employee.

- We are showing in this way how much money we are giving for Nis - mentioning that the magnificent Clinic Center will be opened when the election campaign is over.

He said that government allocated money for budget needs of Nis, and that citizens can expect better time for their city and Nis region.

Soon Corridor 10 will be completed, he announced, adding that people of Nis can soon expect speeding up of the works on the Nis-Pristina highway, which was also asked from German Counselor Angela Merkel.

- However, we won't he happy until the number of unemployed is below 20.000, and in Nis region under 30.000 - said Vucic.

Next year, Nis will be the host of the meeting between Western Europe Prime Minister, he recalled after talking with European Commissioner Hahn in Sarajevo.

- All European and region leaders will be on the meeting - explained Vucic.

When asked how much did the government invest in business with IME company, Vucic said that its 8.6 million euros, but we should bear in mind how much was invested in Nis earlier, and by that we can see how important Nis is to us.

- Can someone show me, not counting last or this year, that so many investments came to Nis, without having any large system shutting down - asked and he said that this company will hire 143 engineers, and there will be even more...

- One factory opens another one - he said and reminded that he said the same thing when Jonson Electric came to Serbia, in Nis.

Vucic repeated that Nis is good destination and that everybody wants to come here and to invest, but he noted that the state will invest where there are problems.

Our people are trained, good workers, we have stability, and when we have the money then we can help, said Vucic, pointing that current surplus is 11.5 billion dinars, an that it was planed that we should have deficit of 47 billion at this moment, so we can invest.
