Increased number of attempted of illegal entry of migrants in Serbia

Increase attempt of illegal entry have been recorded these days, but joined forces of Army and Police at the border are ready to respond to all challenges, said the spokesman of Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia, Jovan Krivokapic.

Krivokapic said that the combined police and military forces on the border with Bulgaria and Macedonia have so far prevented the illegal entry of more than 20,000 migrants and 132 smugglers were caught. The number of attempts have been increased to illegally enter Serbia with nice weather, but the joined forces are ready to respond all challenges. 

- We are fully monitoring the development of the situation. If there are changes on international scene, that won't be a problem only for Serbia, but for the entire EU - said Krivokapic for RTS answering the question if Army and Police are ready to respond to the challenges if the agreement between Turkey and EU is terminated.
