Serbian scientist claims to have a cure for cancer: Zeljko examines new methods in the fight against serious disease
Serbian scientist Zeljko Prijovic claims that, together with a group of researchers from the Belgrade Institute "Vinca", he is on the way to unravel the long-awaited cure for cancer.
According to Prijovic words, cancer treatment with silicon particles is not new. He presented almost the same invention in 2013 at the world renowned events in Greece and Taiwan.
Prijovic is confident that he and his team will perfect a cure for cancer before the Russian colleagues, but warns that it will still take many years.
- A method of treating cancer with nanotechnology is something I am working on for six years, a cure for cancer, and i am looking for cure my entire career, for 25 years. The essence of my ideas is that the therapy works only on diseased cells, while sparing healthy ones - Prijovic said, adding that he saw few weeks ago that the Russian colleagues presented almost the same method.
What is common to us and the Russians is that we are working the procedure through the vein using nanoparticles which are nothing more than a chemical compound, delivering drug in the diseased organ, while not touching the healthy cells - says the Serbian scientist.
He added that he believes that our scientists have the advantage over the Russians, because they started applying this method to mice, and that they should test it on two more types of animals before applying it to humans.
