Renowned group will perform two exceptional choreographic pieces on March 24 which were signed by Sharon Eyal from Israel and Crystal Pite from Canada.

Due to the great interest of domestic and foreign audiences for programs of this unique festival of artistic dance, city of Belgrade, in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, organized for the first live broadcast of a cultural events, performances and contemporary art games at the Republic Square.

The broadcast will be carried out in real time, on March 24 from 20h, thanks to the technical support of Radio Television Serbia and the Vip mobile company which is already the general sponsor of the festival 10 years in a row. Fast 4G network of the latest generation will be used for high-quality transmission of events, which has the largest coverage in Serbia.

Before the show and during the break, the hosts of this interesting program will report about the dancers and the atmosphere among the audience. 14. Belgrade Dance Festival will be opened by ballet super star, Italian Giuseppe Picone.

Like other world capital, especially Milan, New York and Vienna, where there is good broadcast of opera and ballet shows on the screens places on building of famous theaters, Belgrade offers free transmission of the opening of such a important cultural manifestation for its residents for the first time.

Since the founding of the Belgrade Dance Festival, there was cooperation with the City of Belgrade, but actually this is the first joint project which aims to both popularize contemporary art and creating attractive facilities for guests, or develop tourism potentials.

Certainly the contemporary dance art that communicates with the new audiences and generations, especially when it comes to important productions and authors, however, the idea is primarily based on the extraordinary success of the festival in previous years, the presence of the media, as well as international recognition.

Under the slogan "The Great Game", from 24 March - 11 April, a total of 15 companies from 10 countries will feature, with 23 choreographic pieces. Part of the manifestation is also hosting the show "Brodski / Baryshnikov," directed by Alvis Hermanis and famous Mikhail Baryshnikov performing.

Belgrade,thanks to this festival, has become a prestigious station in the biography of the artist who create theatrical trends and write history of artistic dance, a place where new productions are discovered with equal attention to known and young authors.

The popularity of the program determines the position of the event on the international map, while the high standards and courage to introduce new forms of stage, choreographic manuscripts and aesthetics at the same time improve the expectations of the audience and dictate the challenges of creating content. Discovering art game through its highest level, the festival has gained a large audience.

Thus, since the establishment more than 300 works by renowned choreographers were presented, while last year, each edition is monitored by around 23,000 spectators and 120 accredited journalists from home and abroad.

At the same time, the festival provides a tremendous support to local professional dancers, teachers, choreographers and representatives of all artistic fields. Valuable information and contacts with foreign troops, have opened horizons, scholarships and engagement to young dancers, while successful plays on the local scene were realized by foreign choreographers presented precisely by the festival.
