Dudas: I fell down giving my best for this audience!
Mihail Dudas failed to win a medal in the heptathlon at the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade.
Serbian heptathlon athlete started on the last day of the championship as a sixth, and during the high jump discipline, he felt pain in his foot. That did not prevent him from giving his best in front of the shining audience in Belgrade. He began with his personal record in the pole vault - 5.10 meters. But in the final race at 1000 meters he fell down in front of the finish line, in the moments when he was in third place.
- Extremely difficult to contest, with lots of ups and downs. I am not satisfied with some disciplines, and then pole vault came and I was again fighting for a medal. I knew I had to give everything I have. I have lived that in these two days i fell on the track, giving my best - said Dudas, and paid tribute to the audience in the Arena:
- This is incredible, i can't get back to normal. No audience cheered for their own as our did for us.
Let us recall, Dudas won a bronze medal on the European championship in Amsterdam in decathlon.
