The day before the start of the indoor athletics European championships in Belgrade, a big press conference was held.

After the statements of the head people of Serbian and European athletics, as well as of mayor Sinisa Mali, the turn came to athletes.

Ivana Spanovic appeared before the journalists, Asmir Kolasinac and Mihail Dudas, as well as the British Richard Kilty and Belgium Nafisatu "Nafi" Thiam.

- I am very excited before this European Championship because i was preparing for gold. The most important thing is that i will perform in front of my audience and that motivates me even more. I can't wait for it to start - said Ivana Spanovic and added:

- I don't feel any pressure for home audience. It is a special honor for me because i am a part of this spectacle in the organized by Serbian athletics. I will give my best to jump over 7 meters and to enjoy everything that follows with the smile on my face. To be honest, i expect the jump over seven meters. I am prepared and well trained. 

Ivana talked about special designed clothes for this European championship.

- Clothes are made from brand in Serbia and we wanted to include as many people from Serbia as possible. We wanted to look pretty, and when we feel pretty we feel powerful and strong. 

Mihail Dudas also said that he is full with positive energy and that he can't wait for the championship to start.

- I am honored to be a part of this team. It is a lovely feeling when you are competing at home and when people are cheering for you. I am convinced that this will be a wonderfully organized championship. I was in south Africa on preparations, i like it. I always do good training there. We will see in the end if the preparations were successful - said Dudas, and then he looked over the pressure:

- Unique thing about Heptathlon, decathlon and All-Around is that competition lasts for two days. The longer it lasts, the pressure is great. However, i feel relaxed because of friends and relatives that are here, in the reach of a hand. I can't wait for it to start. 

Unlike Ivan and Mihail, Asmir Kolasinac confirmed that he has "problems" with the pressure and great expectations.

- For the past few months, i have been in Belgrade where i physically and mentally prepared. I feel small pressure because everybody expect Gold Medal from me, but we should not forget that the competition is strong. I hope that audience will help me in everything - said Kolasinac and added:

- I am proud to be the part of this team. It is a best team Serbia has ever had. Pressure created itself because expectations are high. I am prepared more than ever and lots will depend on my control over my emotions. Performing in front of the audience that is cheering for me... I hope that i will focus it all in the ball.
