Dejan, Vukovar hero: He rescued little Nino, its whimpering froze the blood in his veins (PHOTO)

Dejan Selak (41) working in the company "Komunalac", went to work in Friday morning and he didn't even dream that he would become a hero in his birth town Vukovar.

He was about to empty a trashcan, and he heart whimpering which made his blood freeze.

- I looked around myself, but the dog was nowhere. When i opened the lid i saw a little black bundle in the deep of at least 2 meters. He was paralyzed of fear - shaking, crying... I went inside and i took him outside of the trash, turned on the heating because the little dog was freezing. I barely turned around and he was already sleeping like a baby in warm - said Selak.

The puppy was taken immediately to the vet. They washed him, and he will be vaccinated soon, and put to adoption. Little one is only a month and a half old and he has 2.5 kilos. He got a name Nino and a home is searched for him without a box or chain, where he will be a part of the family.

Dejan Selak said that he didn't think for a moment when he heard the helpless whimpering of the puppy in trouble.

- Even if the the cover was open of the garbage bin, grown up dog could not get out of it, and especially this miniature baby. By some miracle he survived - said the communal worker of a great heart.

He himself is a dog owner - till recently he had two American Staffordshire Terriers, one recently passed away, and he still has the female he adores.

Little Nino, washed, clean and smelling nice, thanks to the volunteers, he has been put temporarily to the safe place and he is waiting for someone to fell in love with him and to take him home.
