SERBS WOULDN'T GO TO WAR FOR KOSOVO: 73% of surveyed citizens would not take up arms for the southern province

Most of Serbian citizens thinks that it wouldn't be justified to go into armed conflict to keep Kosovo and Metohija in the composition of Serbia, research shows of the Belgrade center for security politics.

73 percent of the surveyed citizens think that we should not go to war because of Kosovo and Metohija, 17 percent doesn't know and 10 percent thinks that we should .

Most belligerent are the young from 18 to 29, of those who would go to war for Kosovo, shows the research completed with the support of the Minister of foreign affairs of Norway from a period of 26 December to 14 January by surveying 1.403 adult citizens of Serbia.

When it comes to political parties, 70.6 percent of the people from Serbian Progressive Party thinks that it is not justified to go into armed conflict for Kosovo and Metohija to stay within Serbia, Democratic party 86.5 percent, the coalition SPS-PUPS-JS 70.2 percent.

57.5 percent of the surveyed wouldn't go to war from Dveri, 87 percent from LDP, SDS and LSV, and 50 percent from SRS. 

The most negative response on this question came from DJB - 96 percent.
