Bosnia, country in Europe people are leaving the most: 43.3% of Bosnia and Herzegovina population left the state
Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is a country with the highest percent of emigration of its people in Europe, and the reasons are that many seek for a better life out there, abroad. Map of emigration of European citizens, published by Jakub Marine, linguist and an artist, he said that 43.3 percent of population moved out of BiH.
Behind BiH is Albania with 38.8 percent of people who emigrated, then Macedonia 24.8%, and high percentages are in Portugal, Croatia and Moldavia.
Data relates to 2015, and they were made according to information of United Nations. They relate to the place of birth of the person, not on the citizenship. The map shows the number of people who emigrated from certain countries as percentages of the current population, reports Nezavisne.
During 2015, 1.6 million people born in BiH lived outside of the country. For example, four million people left from Germany, while 2.9 million people left Italy.
Experts have said that this is a major indicator of differences in living standards of the rich and those with less money in European countries. Numbers relate to people who were born in those countries and are living outside the country in the moment of analysis.
The data didn't include the years when those people moved out. The least percentage is people emigrating is in Spain - 2.7%, then France - 3.3%, Sweden - 3.4%, Norway 3.7 percent. Stevo Pasalic, demographer, said that the data includes larger period of time, since the beginning of war, that number is around 900.000 people.
- Since the beginning of the state, more people have left it than it has moved in it. It always had negative migration rate. Today's demographic problems are precisely caused with great migration to other country, and it is not only our problem, it is a problem of he entire region - said Pasalic.
He mentioned that, for example, Germany, which has significantly greater number of diseased than born, it accepts around 1.1 million immigrants and solves The problem.
- People are leaving in search for the better life, and for quite some time now, they go where wages are higher and where people are living better - said Pasalic.
Ivan Sijakovic, sociologists, considers the main cause for leaving from BiH is that it doesn't provide perspective to the people who want to progress because there is no resources and potential for it.
- It has been like that for quite some time, but it was especially the case in the last 20 years. The era of information arrived, BiH lingered behind and could not follow the development, and people who are here just don't see any perspective and they leave. All borders are now open and its not hard as it was before - said Sijakovic.
