The Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has congratulated the newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump, with the message that Serbia is ready to be a reliable and responsible partner.

The congratulations says:

- I send you my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the inauguration of the President of the United States. I am confident that you will perform this honorable and responsible duty with due respect and dedication. Turbulent times and tumultuous changes that the world is facing today require strong and dedicated leaders who can defend and preserve the democratic values that we all wholeheartedly support.

I hope that in the period ahead we will continue to develop and strengthen relations between the Republic of Serbia and the United States for the benefit of our two countries and peoples. Serbia is ready to be a reliable and responsible partner, open to cooperation with American investors, which may offer a safe business environment in a country that is a pillar of peace and stability in the Western Balkans. 

Trump has been sworn in as the 45th President of the United States.
