Kosovo police: We are not terrorists

Kosovo police negated yesterday that their special unit ROSU uses terrorist methods and that they planted explosives on Saturday in order to stop the train, which headed from Belgrade, from entering Kosovo, reports "Lajmi" papers.

Reacting on the statement of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun, Kosovo police claims in the statement that they are not destabilizing factor, but institution that practices law and their mandate is protection of order and public safety, as well as security in general, "including the control and supervising the borders, reports the papers.

Kosovo police claims that they took all measures on 14. January in accordance with Kosovo constitution, laws and operative plan in order to guarantee constitutional order, general safety and, in this specific case, prevent the entry of, as they said, "illegal train", on the territory of Kosovo.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun said that the events involving the train are the consequence of long term political, economic pressure Pristina has been doing on Serbs on Kosovo and Metohija.
