Vucic: India has always respected Serbia's territorial integrity, Gandhi is one of the most significant historical figures for us
India has always respected the territorial integrity of Serbia and is one of the greatest friends of our country, said Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
Vucic has scheduled an emergency session of the Government because of Haradinaj!
In an interview with the Indian Institute of Global Affairs "Gateway House", Vucic said that Serbia also respects the territorial integrity of India and the two countries share views on the fact that there are no "good terrorists" but that they are always evil.
Serbia has always condemned any act of terrorism in India, said Vucic.
- I think that it is a position of one independent, sovereign state which is on its way towards the EU and that it not only maintains it's relationship with friends, but also strengthens it - said the prime minister who was in official visit to India.
Speaking about relations between Serbia and India, Prime Minister Vucic said that better economic cooperation is needed and that Serbia needs to attract more Indian investors to the country, improve trade exchange, to bring workers from Serbia to India, and to improve relations between people.
- Serbia is the only country in the whole of Europe where Indians will feel at home, because we have always supported those who love freedom. Mahatma Gandhi is still one of the five most important historical figure in our country - he added.
Vucic also said that there will be talks on how to establish a visa-free regime between the two countries.
We have a good political relationship, Vucic said, adding that his visit to India is the first in Serbia at this level after 30 years.
- This means that in the past we have forgotten our friends in the East. We are a small country and I am therefore sincerely grateful to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi for paying attention to Serbia and for inviting me to visit - said Vucic.
