Dalmatia became white, the coldest morning in the past few decades: Snow well in Dubrovnik for the first time after 8 years (VIDEO)
Real winter arrived to Dalmatia, and real winter conditions are in Dubrovnik since Wednesday, snow fell during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday for the first time after 8 years in this coastal city.
Snow fell on Wednesday morning in most part of southern Dalmatia, and there were some snowfall even in the part of Neretva, in Peljesac, Makarska, Omis hinterland, even in the parts of the island of Hvar. After many years the snow has fallen on island Mljet.
Snow came from the south, and most snow is around Dubrovnik area. In 7 AM there were 3 centimeters of snow, and in Konavle there was 5 cm by 8 AM. Cavtat also became white.
Citizens are warned to use winter equipment during driving and they ask for increased caution.
Near the place Slano, a bus drove off the road and the driver was injured in the accident. At the Adriatic main road near Slano the traffic is slow, in one-lane, reports the HAK. At seven o'clock in the morning in Dubrovnik there were 3.2 degrees below zero, and the last time snow fell in the city was in 2009.
