Countries in the region are still bound in snow, ice and minus temperature, and the drivers are particularly warned to practice caution in traffic, in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) the holiday for children has been prolonged till 16. January, and recommendations have been issued to reduce working hours where possible.

The coldest was in Praca in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the temperature reached -35 degrees.

According to meteorological officials, arctic chill will remain in the country until Thursday, January 12th. Somewhat warmer period, but still with a temperatures suitable to the season, is forecast from 12 to 25 January.

On the occasion of weather conditions caused by low temperatures, Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in BiH recommended that employers should shorten working hours, in accordance with the Law on safety at work and taking care of the health of employees.

All the major roads in Republika Srpska are passable, but drivers are advised to be cautious due to ice because the low temperature slows down the work Auto-Moto Association of Srpska.
Border crossing Deleusa, on the road from Bilece to Niksic in Montenegro has been closed for all trucks.

It will be short lasting because the temperatures will drop again on Saturday.
Similar weather is expected in Macedonia. The lowest temperature has been recorded this morning on Mavrov, minus 20 degrees and snow cover was 68 centimeters.
