Woman from Novi Sad Ljubica Ciric (35) accomplished the American dream because she managed to become from an athletic star in USA, one of the leading psychologists on Florida.

As a promising runner in the 100 meters and our junior team member, this woman from Novi Sad had received athletic scholarship in 1998 and she came to Arizona, writes Blic.

Many people recognize her as a leading psychologist in Palm Beach on Florida, director of education and innovation in "Community Partners", state facility dealing with inclusion of problematic children, family and violence reduction, with 46 additional social programs.

She has been named a "Hero of medicine" for her work with children prone to suicide in this American city. Her greatest concern is human trauma, which has became a pandemic in the last few years.

- I have graduated in social medicine, got a masters degree in psychotherapy, doctors degree in psychology and i starter working in the prison for adolescents. My job is to include them back into society. But i have always been interested what happened to them before they ended up in prison. That lead me to deal with children prone to suicide - said Ciric.

Soon she came to "Community partners" which has around 500 employs at the moment, and besides thinking of new programs, it trains 40 psychotherapists. The rest of the time she uses for therapies with little girls that ended up as slaves in America.

She said that her greatest success is that she is currently leading a social program in one of the works suburbs in Palm Beach, but also in the entire America.

- We didn't come to them and told them what they must do to solve their problems, like violence or crime. First we gathered the state services, from social workers to police officers, and after that we asked the endangered people what they want us to do to make them feel better. In that way, we included the vast part of the community in the problem. In just six months, the police received 80 less calls - said our interviewee.

Recipe for success is, she claims, simple: Love what you do and love people. The only thing she doesn't like on Florida is food and the fact she has to do everything in a car. She comes to Novi Sad twice a year. Before she goes to ritual coffee drinking, she walks the city or the fort, opens her windows and watches over the stadium - "Karadjordje".
