Patriarch Irinej on the celebration of the Day of Republika Srpska: RS - Serbian national being

Serbian Patriarch arrived to Banjaluka, where he will attend the celebration of the Day of Republika Srpska (RS), and said that RS is Serbian national and spiritual being and that it wasn't created by accident.

Patriarch Irinej said that Republika Srpska is "act of God to preserve Serbian people, so it could survive on the lands watered with blood and founded on bones". 

Patriarch Irinej said that it is a historical fact we must respect and preserve, and always remember those who died for Serbs to they can pray with three fingers, because they had no other sin, reported by Banjaluka newspapers "Nezavisne".

- It is better to be a victim than the one inflicting pain. We are the religion of cross. We follow Jesus, we carry his cross, the one lord carried on Calvary. But, after the cross there is resurrection we all hope for - said the patriarch Irinej.

Vucic congratulated the Day of Republika Srpska

- Serbian patriarch expressed joy in his addressing to the people because he can participate in the celebration of 25 years of Republika Srpska, but also the Christmas with Serbian people in Srpska.
