Blizzard that engulfed the whole of the Balkans has not bypassed Macedonia. Traffic on the road is collapsing, desperate drivers are begging for help.

- We won't make it alive to the morning. We are with small children. We called everywhere, Automobile Association, police, Crisis Management Center, Macedonia roads... but they rarely answer the phone, and when they do, they comfort us: "Don't worry, everything will be alright", but cold and frozen people are the ones that are calling - said one of the passengers.

Desperate, they asked for help on social networks, to show that the situation is really critical, they posted their photos of lines of cars stranded for hours in blizzard.

The most critical situation is in the sections of Skopje - Veles, and vice versa, Kavadarci - Negotino, Ohrid - Resen ... On slippery uncleaned snowy roads there are overturned vehicles. Citizens sit for hours in the cold in anticipation of help.

They are worried for their and the fate of their children with who they went on a trip to spend the Christmas holidays together with their families. 

Drivers who are stuck on the highway Skopje - Veles, and vice versa, are recommended to stop at the checkpoint Pusta tower because the situation is the same along the entire motorway section.

Snowed in drivers, however, say that they can't move a millimeter, let alone get off at that checkpoint.

Besides frozen drivers and passengers, there is no information whether there are casualties and injuries.
