DIVERS FIRST TO CONGRATULATE NEW YEAR FROM ICY BOTTOM: They sent a strong message next to a Christmas tree in Ohrid lake (PHOTO) (VIDEO)

Group of Ohrid divers were the first to count down the arrival of New Year, fifteenth year in a row, next to the decorated Christmas tree in Bones bay in icy water of Ohrid lake.

Christmas tree which can be seen from the top of the lake, was set at the depth of 4 meters. Members of the divers club "Amfora" helped the decorating of the tree and underwater activities club "Ohrid" in cooperation with the Association for underwater activities of Macedonia. Decorated Christmas tree was dedicated to the children suffering from rare disease.

The youngest members of the diving clubs helped them, and for the reward, they got presents from Santa.

- We sent an appeal for help and showed a flag of support for children with rare diseases. We from the club for underwater activities "Ohrid" and divers center "Amfora" were the first underwater with champagne in our hands and congratulated new year to each other. We wish a lot of health to all citizens, success and better life, said Dr Goran Baleski.

Christmas tree in Ohrid lake became an attraction of it self, so there are no locals or tourists that have been here and not jumping to see it.
