Cook Marko Orelj got fired four days ago from the Skadarlija restaurant "Captain Koca travels", because he complained that musicians played the song "Lili Marleen" to German guests

The easiest way to make money when million tourists arrive next year!

Corpulent cook was bothered with a song by Marlene Dietrich, which directly associates on the German occupation of Serbia. It is known that this was unofficial anthem of German soldiers in World War II

- While i was preparing food, i heard from the restaurant part that some parts of the songs sung by fascist soldiers which committed the greatest crimes in the history of mankind - Orelj explained his motives.

- I went out and i told musicians to put down their instruments and to stop with music. Then i called my manager and he laughed for what i had said. I asked him if its normal to listen to these songs in the middle of Belgrade, and he gave me no response  and told me to go home - said Orelj.

He was more bothered by the fact that no one from the staff reacted when they heard the song when musicians started playing.

We came to the situation in our own country to humbly bow our heads before anyone who comes from foreign countries.  I revolted because that song is played for Germans in the heart of Belgrade, where their ancestors committed terrible crimes - said the cook.

Manager of the restaurant Dragan Nedeljkovic confirmed that he told Orelj to go home, when he asked to stop the music.

He started shouting  how that song should not be played. He isn't hired to be music editor but a cook. I did not know that the song had such a historical part during the World War II - Nedeljkovic explains the reasons why Orelj got fired.

Nedeljkovic wasn't on the work this morning, and his colleagues did not want to comment on the incident.

This cook likes taking pictures next to monuments. He often places the photos of occupied Belgrade and he particularly favors the Russians.

He often shares photos of orthodox monasteries and churches on his Facebook profile.

Lili Marlene was also a favourite among Allied troops. I find it hard to believe that a Serb should be up in arms about the singing of this song, especially as Serbs have been accused of countless war crimes in recent years. He is just a poor pathetic attention seeker who I sincerely hope has lost his job.
