NEW INCIDENT IN CROATIA: Serbedzija almost left the studio of Zagreb's N1 television
Actor Rade Serbedzija, whose ban on performance is asked in Zagreb by Croatian war veterans, almost left the studio of regional N1 TV in Zagreb, after the host noted that it might not have happened if they had the opportunity to hear his answer to question who was the victim and who was the aggressor in the previous war.
CROATIAN VETERANS ATTACKING SERBEDZIJA: They want a ban on his concert!
- Will you leave me alone man, i don't want to speak about those things! Should i leave the studio? I told you already - it is not true that hey quoted yellow press, i did not say those things! Because of that i am uncomfortable in the country i live in and in the city i work in, i don't want to be marked like that and to be falsely accused. Do you have any other question - asked Serbedzija.
Previously, Serbedzija was asked to explain his statement that "one should be aware that everything that was done in the name of Serbia, Croatia, Muslims and other "names" and nationalism, it was only done by individuals, one small group of people".
Why the topics of ugly past dominate our relationships today, was the question.
- I am so wounded by different things, not only with this last, but because of many things i spoke to these people - and it was always against war. No matter the political and national differences of people. That is why i don't want to talk about it anymore - said Serbedzija.
Besides Croatian war veterans, who asked for the ban on Serbedzija's performances in Zagreb, the proclaimed actor was called out by the minister Toma Medved who stood with the veterans, saying:
- Ministry of Croatian Defenders has the obligation to keep the values and legacy of legal, legitimate, defense and liberation of the Homeland War in the pride of Croatian war veterans, war victims and all Croatian citizens.
Serbedzija asked for an apology from Medved, but he did not receive it today. Celebrated actor, who lives in Croatia, is Serbian by his father's side. His father lives in Belgrade and is 104 years old.
