Caterer from Split kept 5 TONS of meat in his home FOR A YEAR!
Customs officers from Split in cooperation with the inspectors of the Ministry of Agriculture found refrigerators with nearly five tons of meat minion the ground floor of Dragan Sekulic's house in the Zumberak, which the caterer stored.
Here's what they did in Croatia when the meat expired
During the control process inspection took the meat, and they issued prohibition of carrying out unregistered activities.
- I did not register the freezer because i was lazy - said Sekulic.
He adds that because of the increased workload and too small refrigerators in Split, he stored meat in Sekulici in the past year. Here his employees only processed meat, cleaned it up and got it ready in the freezers.
- All meat that was in them in the moment when "law" arrived, has coverage. I buy it in Zagreb, i buy it in Split, i take care of it here, and store it and drive it to Split. There are no worlds about salmonella, meat is legal, bought, it was all beef, they confiscated the meat and will destroy it. Inspection, customs officers and veterinarians were correct. Now I will register refrigerators and work continues as it was before. They have done their job, and I'll answer for what I've done - concluded Dragan, adding that he arranged one freezer seven-eight years ago, and the other one three years ago, because he tried razing cows in Sekulic, but that did not go so well and he gave up.
