VUKOVAR IS A PLACE OF SUFFERING OF TWO PEOPLE - Linta: Croatian victims have been recognized, Serbian are being negated

President of the Association of Serbs from the region, Miodrag Linta, said today that the city of Vukovar is a place of suffering of Serbian and Croatian nation, and not only Croatian, according to the Croatian authorities.

Serbian Association of families of killed, dead, missing and abducted persons "Against forgetting", which operates in Croatia, has information that during the summer and autumn of 1991 about 120 Serbs were killed or disappeared in Vukovar. Also, seven families of Serbian nationality pressed criminal charges against Tomislav Mercep in 2012 relating to murders and disappearance of family members, which happened before the war conflicts in Vukovar.

The former Vukovar Mayor Zeljko Sabo refused the request of the Serbs in Vukovar to raise memorial to civilian victims of war Serbian nationality. This is one in a series of evidence that Croatia parts victims by ethnicity, notes Linta.
