Mihalj Skivjan (29) from Novi Sad, who beat with the hammer on 30. December to her death the prostitute Merima Redzepov (29) in his apartment, showed no shred of remorse for the crime he committed.

The killer hit with a hammer 15 times in the head and crushed her scull, and in the courtroom he described the bloody act in detail - reports Informer.

- I have no intention of appologizing to Merima's father, because he cursed at my mother in the middle of courtroom - said Skivjan in his closing in front of the court.

Deputy Public Prosecutor, Vidan Dakovic sought the maximum sentence of 15 years in prison because it was not self-defense or manslaughter. The injured probably fell from the first blow, and he continued until he had smashed his skull. A girl was killed without any guilt.

Skivan lived alone in the apartment and often used sexual favors from Merima. On fateful night, while she was with him, her phone rang, and she said she could not see him because she has a client. This enraged Mihalj, because he thought it was her boyfriend, not a customer, and he grabbed the hammer and brutally killed her.

Merima's father Sacir Redzepov said Merima was fine brought up child until she was in the clutches of drug addiction, and that they were stable family and she had no reason doing prostitution.
