CROATIAN CREATED BIG FUSS: If Trepca is Serbian, then Djerdap is Croatian!
New sparks in the relationships between Serbia and Croatia could be lit by the new column of the Croatian journalist Milan Ivkosic.
Nikolic: Serbia making efforts towards regional stability
The dispute for the mining and metallurgical Combine Trepca has been going on for days, and now Croatia got involved indirectly with provocations.
- If the famous mine Trebca on Kosovo also Croatian? It is Croatian judging by the arguments some Serbs that are usurping Trepca. Kosovo state took over 80% of the Combine, and 20% went to the workers, and all of us were one state at some time, weren't we? - said the columnist of the Vecernji list, Milan Ivkosic.
He then said that Serbs with their usurping of Trepca experience their former country as great Serbia while the demands of Croatia and and Slovenia were inconceivable and would be absurd for the parts in ownership in the four countries left from the Yugoslavia.
- And especially Croatia could seek from Belgrade to return the billions their banks and federal funds kidnapped from which the largest investment went in Serbia. If the Trepca is Serbian, then Djerdap is Croatian - concludes Ivkosic.
Adoption of the Trepca law is only last step which followed after series of decisions which this former mining giant crossed under the jurisdiction of the Kosovo authorities.
- At the peak of its operations, in 1980, Trepca has provided work for 22,500 workers and had an average annual profit of $ 100 million - the UN 2011 report says , which dealt in detail with Trepca.
