The Interior Ministry of Serbia on Thursday officially confirmed the Serbian police had arrested a 40-year-old resident of Urosevac, Kosovo-Metohija, identified as N.T. pursuant to an indictment issued by the High Court in Nis on terrorism charges.

The arrest took place at around 8 pm Wednesday as N.T. was in the process of obtaining a certificate to enter the territory of central Serbia via the Konculj administrative crossing.

N.T. was taken to a detention unit pursuant to a detention order issued by the court in 2010.

The Interior Ministry unofficially confirmed to Tanjug earlier that Nehat Taci, the Kosovo Police director for the Kosovska Mitrovica region, had been arrested in the morning.

Pristina media reported Taci had been arrested on his way to Nis, where he had been scheduled to attend a court hearing.
