GOD'S MIRACLE IN SVILAJNAC: Candles lit on their own on Dormition of the Mother of God holiday!

The residents of village Porodin next to Svilajnac claim that candles burn on their own and that the lamp light dances. Those are just some of the unexplained phenomena they explain with faith.

On the Dormition of the Mother of God, 28th August, in the Church of St Petka in Porodin, while the elder Radisav Spasojevic in the altar prepared to serve the holly liturgy, two believers entered to kiss the icons and to light a candle afterwards.

- I bent down to kiss, the holy cross, and at one point I felt the warmth on my face. When I looked in my right hand all 15 candles burned. I did not see them light up, nor I set them on fire. Real torchlight. Incredible, I was puzzled, but I realized the Mother of God did it on her holliday - said for "Blic" one of the two believers Gorica Jagodic.

When she realized what happened, she started crying.

- I cried because of everything, from the happiness that I felt it and lived it. I couldn't stop the tears of joy and immeasurable luck and comfort I felt - said Gorica.

Gorica's husband Grucaja Jagodic told how his wife looked like after that morning and until the end of the fast and the holly communion.

- I saw that something happened to her. Somehow the color of her face changed. But when she told us what happened, we were all amazed. I notice that my wife has been more happy and more hardworking around the house. This is the proof that we should all believe, we should not live without fait - said Gruja.

The priest and the parish priest of Porodina Radosav Spasojevic,  although he pondered for a long time, he decided to, as a metaphor of the New Testament, "not burying silver which the Lord gave him" and to make the story public.

- The miracle happened and it became a public event lead by God's will, we can not keep quiet about that. Especially when our faith has became jeopardized. It is no wonder that the icons are crying, sheding tears, "because the power of God shows to us in the moments of weakness". It is a warning for all believers and disbelievers, and to a priest, to requestion the purpose and the way of life and existence. The man feels spiritual energy that permeate everything - said the priest Rade pointing out that it is about great mercy of God, because, God is talking to us when we need his help, new strength of belief and motivation.

Residents of Porodina are glad something happened especially to Gorica.

- We are even happier that something happened to Gorica, who is not going to the Church that often. If it happened to someone of us, we would all say, they are nuts, they only go to church - said Sasa Markovic.

According to the words of father Rade, that the "miracle" chose Gorica is no accident.

- She is a very calm, modest, silent and honest woman. Just like at the Christ grave, when women were the first to arrive, once again, woman is the one who was given the possibility to feel the grace of the Lord - said the priest.
