GREAT NEWS: Accepted the request of Bosnia and Herzegovina for EU membership

General Affairs Council of the EU, chaired by the Minister delegated of the Government of Slovakia, Ivan Korcok accepted the request of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) for membership of the European Union and the European Commission will send an order to develop a questionnaire for BiH.

The decision was made after it was concluded that all the requirements of the European agenda necessary for the consideration of applications have been fulfilled. BiH filed for membership in February this year.

The Council has, in fact, today only formally requested the Commission to submit its opinion on BiH's membership in the EU. This means that BiH will in the coming period get a set of several thousand questions to answer, transfers media in BiH.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic said today that giving a "green light" on BiH application for EU membership is historic moment for the European path and European future of BiH.

Zvizdic said that this is a conclusion with which deployment of obtaining the questionnaire will begin, which is one of the most important stages in this process.

- We have been working on this stage over the past 14 months. It is now successfully completed and this is one of the most positive news for BiH, for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European future of BiH, and especially for young people who will soon live in Bosnia and Herzegovina as members of the European Union - said Zvizdi, reported by the media in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
