The list of drugs in Serbia by the end of the year will be expanded with 68 of the latest medications for the treatment of serious diseases such as rare cancers, HIV and severe heart and respiratory diseases.

All these drugs will be on the so-called positive list, meaning that patients will use it on the cost of the state.

This application was agreed at the meeting of Republic Health Insurance Fund at the beginning of August, writes the "Informer".

102 drugs were recommended to make the list, among the original 68, innovative medications. Among them there are drugs for the treatment of certain cancers, HIV, the procedure for in vitro fertilization, heavy respiratory diseases, hematology, cardiology, digestive, ophthalmology disease and other diseases. 

Because of this, the government formed the commission two days ago made from the representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Republic Health Insurance Company, and it will have the task to bring innovative medicines to our pharmacy shelves by the end of the year.
