When summer arrives, many people from Serbia rushes to the vacation to take a bath in the sea and enjoy the sun in some warmer climate. Yet there are many that do not know what kind of hidden beauties our country has in its lakes

Take a look at Serbia from a Griffon vulture point of view (PHOTO)

Bovansko lake is on Sokobanja Moravica, at Bovan, between Sokobanja and Aleksinac. Characterized by synergy of the sky, clouds and the water.

This artificial lake appeared with building a dam in 1978 in the system of regulating the Morava basin and hydro power plant "Djerdap", and the first basic task was to hold the river silt, and also the ones coming from the hills as well as accumulating the great amounts of water.

North from Djakovica there is Radonjic lake, also artificially created, on the tributary river of Beli Drim.

Palic lake is one of the most popular tourist attractions, and it has around 2.100 sunny hours a year.

Zlatarsko lake, or as it called Kokin brod, the artificial lake near Uvac valley. Set between Zlatar and Murtenica.

Zlatarsko lake is third biggest lake in Serbia after Djerdap lake and Pericac on Drina river.

Vlasinsko lake in on the south east of Serbia, in the Surdulica municipality, and it as the average depth of 35 m, surface of 15 square kilometers.

Vlasinsko lake was formed between 1949 and 1954.

In the Gazivoda village area, in the Tutin municipality, one of the biggest clay based dams were created in Europe, and above it the lakes Mokra Gora.
