Nikola (14) gets up every morning at 4 to gather bottles to feed his family. His story shook the world! (VIDEO)

Ilija Obradovic from Ivanic Grad said that he could not be prouder than he already is. It's not surprising, considering he has a son only 14 years old who spends his summer helping his father feed the family of four more brothers and sisters.

Nikola Obradovic, 14 year old from Ivanic Grad who has been going to Zagreb to collect bottles and paper and help his family of four more brothers and sisters, who all live on only one wage, writes RTL.

-Around 100 pieces of bottles and 100 kilograms of papers is gathered. I have been doing that for five, six years. I love that and i don't have to ask for anything from my parents - said Nikola who could be a role model to his peers, but also to much older people than him.

- I get up around four, five AM, come with father to Zagreb, and i don't find it hard because i have a bicycle which makes things much faster than going on foot as i used to go - describes the boy.

His father Ilija said he tried to talk him out but he did not succeed.

- If i were him, it would be hard for me to get up. I told him, but he wants to work. I can't stop him if he wants to work - said Ilija.

Everything he gathers, Nikola drives to his father who works like a guard. Every day, he fills full trunk load. With the money earned from bottles and papers he buys everything, from shoes to paying the bills.

- I cannot be prouder than i already am. The man works, the young man, and wants to work - adds Nikola's father revealing that the boy saves up in order to enlist in auto school on 18th birthday.
