WE DISCOVER THE NAME OF THE AIR SERBIA PLANE THAT WILL FLY TO NEW YORK: It will be named - NIKOLA TESLA!

After three legendary persons of Serbian sports, Novak Djokovic, Vlade Divac and Dejan Stankovic, as well as actor Miki Manojlovic, the fifth plane of Air Serbia will be named after our great scientist Nikola Tesla.

Airplane Airbus A330, which will fly on the relation Belgrade - New York on 23rd Jun will carry a name of the scientists Nikola Tesla, who spent the majority of his life in New York. 

It is about the first wide hull plane for regular intercontinental fight between Belgrade and USA, Belgrade and New York after 24 years, said Blic.

Djokovic, Divac, Stankovic and Manojlovic were invited to be guests on the first, promo flight which will be attended by prime minister Aleksadar Vucic as well. First three ticked on the flight Belgrade - New York were bought on the International fair of tourism the Ambassador of USA in Belgrade Kyle Scot, prime minister Aleksandar Vucic and a citizen Marija Gacesa, who has dual citizenship.

Airbus A330 is the largest plane in the Air Serbia fleet. It is rented from Indian "Jet Airways" who is the partner of "Etihad". Airplane has 254 seats - 236 in economic class and 18 in business class, it costs half a million dollars a month, and it can take 10 tons of cargo per flight. The flights to New York will go five times a week.

The arrival of Airbus A330 is the latest step under the program of restoration of the fleet which realization started in 2013, since then, company introduced 10 narrow full Air buses of the new generation, and the average age of the fleet was reduced from 25 to 10 years.
