Petar II Karadjordjevic was only 11 when he became the king of Yugoslavia and this is one of the rare photos of his childhood days
When he was pronounced for the king of Yugoslavia on 12th October 1934. he was 11 years old and he became at the time one of the youngest rulers in the world!

After his father the king Aleksandar I Karadjordjevic was killed on 9th October in assassination in Marseilles, for new king was pronounced his underage son Petar II.
Because he was too young, the royal duties were done for him by three member governorship - prince Pavle, Dr Radenko Stankovic and Dr Ivo Perovic.
And this is precisely how Petar II Karadjordjevic looked like in that period, as a young boy in a hawk uniform.
