Entrepreneur Dorian Porter is inspired by Nikola Tesla, and in his honor he started a campaign for placing a life-size statue of the famous scientist in Palo Alto and it serves as a public Wi-Fi router.

Statue of Tesla is 1.87 meters tall and made from bronze, sculpted by Terry Gayer. Statue of Tesla is holding a giant wireless light bulb.

Besides serving as a public Wi-Fi, statue has a "time capsule" that will be opened on 7th January 2043. on 100th anniversary of Tesla's death.
