"SLOBODAN MILOSEVIC POISONED HIMSELF!" Florence Hartmann claims that former president of Serbia COMMITTED SUICIDE!
Florence Hartmann, former spokesman of prosecutor's office in Hague, pointed out for the Croatian weekly Express that the former president of Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevic intentionally took inadequate medicine to make his health worse, and his goal was to be released to make his defense from freedom and elope to Russia.
SESELJ WON OVER THE HAGUE: Free of all charges
As she said, he was poisoning himself because he took the medicine "rifampicin", which was delivered to him by someone, she told in the interview for Zagreb's "Express" and reminded of intrigues about Milosevic death who disturbed the whole region a decade ago.
Taking that medicine, as she claims, which is used for treating leprosy, Slobodan voided the effects of the medicine for his high blood pressure.
- He could have died from that easily, but that wasn't his goal, only to worsen his health. Milosevic knew what he was taking, because that medicine made his urine blue and he could see that clearly - she said.
According to her, it was his strategy to avoid conviction, not to be remember as someone who committed genocide and was a former president.
Hartmann in this interview, which was also reported by "Vecernje novosti", stated that the prison warden in Scheveningen warned the higher court that he can not inspect Milosevic's cell, because it was made into office.
Zdenko Tomanovic, legal associate of Slobodan Milosevic, said for "Vecernje novosti" that he was imediately informed from the office in Hague about his death by hanging.
- When i asked for explanation, how did he return to bed after he hanged himself, where he was found dead, they switched their story that he has killed himself with poisoning, and now he was poisoning himself in order to go to Russia. As much as Crow cleans itself, it become blacker.
He thinks these are "cheap nonsense unoriginal, and not effective".
- That there is "rifampicin" Milosevic found out for the first time in March 2006. when we determined an information was hidden form us of the presence of that medicine in his blood test. At that time, we found out that the prison doctor notified the supervisors that Milosevic drinks the recommended medication in the presence of guards, and the blood analysis conducted right after taking of medicine, showed lower concentration of the necessary.
As Tomanovic stated, at that time Slobodan Milosevic asked in writing to Russia to stop his murder. In the letter written by hand, that his lawyer took to Russian embassy, is written:
- I think it is about murder attempt.
Otherwise, Hartmann said that Ratko Mladic is in the similar situation.
- The trial is coming to an end and now he strives to get away before the sentence is given. Who says Mladic will live through it? Who claims that, after what happened to Milosevic he wont succeed to be released for treatment in Russia?
His defender Miodrag Stojanovic said that this comparison is insidious and evil.
- Our request for treatment in Russia still stands. The Tribunal hasn't responded yet, because there is no guaranties from Russia yet.
