THE MAYOR OF DUBROVNIK HAS NOTHING AGAINST SERBS AND BELGRADE: This is the only truth about his "nationalistic outburst"!

After the appearance of information about mayor of Dubrovnik Andro Vlahusic claiming that it is not acceptable for national company "Croatia Airlines" to fly to Dubrovnik over Belgrade, the Telegraf staff decided to check this claims firsthand.

Namely, in his statement for Telegraf, the mayor Vlahusic pointed out, that his worlds were taken out of the context. 

- My statement had the goal to start a local company, to do something something about it. It's not the problem that there are departures for Dubrovnik over Belgrade, i am up for it to be even more departures toward us from every side. But it would be ideal if there was direct line, like there was in the 80-es, which would transport passengers from New York in 8 hours to the sea, without having to layover. In the end, Belgrade has a direct line to New York, I only wanted for Dubrovnik to get one - said Vlahucic, pointing out that 80.000 people land on Dubrovnik airport from America per year.

In the interview for Croatian portal Oko, Vlahusic looked over the situation in "Croatia Airlines" and its is not great, saying that it is unacceptinble for tourists from America that come to Dubrovnik to go over Belgrade, because they are paying the flights to them, and other world companies they cooperate with fly for free.
