SIMANOVCI - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday after opening a plant of German food group Dr. Oetker in Simanovci that “cornerstones for factories are not a fairytale”, voicing confidence that Serbia would succeed in attracting more German family businesses.

Two years ago, when we laid a cornerstone for this factory, it seemed like a sweet fairytale, and I have heard from one journalist that we keep laying cornerstones and talking about a future, but it never comes. Today, we have a privilege to see one of the things that some good, diligent people managed to make in Serbia, with the help of German friends and investors,”  Vucic said at the opening ceremony in the German group's first factory in Serbia that would hire 192 people and have the annual output of around 6,000 tons of mostly powdery products.

Dr. Oetker is a family-owned enterprise, manufacturing baking powders, baking mixes, dessert mixes, cereals, conserves, frozen pizza, frozen pizza snacks, yogurts, chilled desserts and other products.
