In preparation for the opening of the first department store in Serbia Ikea began the process of seeking new colleagues, holding competitions for 10 jobs in a department store in Bubanj Potok and the central office of the company for Southeast Europe in Belgrade.

This is the first of several major waves of employment that will follow in the future. All interested candidates have the opportunity to be on the site www.ikea.rs informed about the competition and conditions but also about the history, work, mission and vision of the Swedish company.

In this round, Ikea searches for colleagues for the sectors of human resources, customer relations, interior design, graphic communications, web communications, logistics, sales and food sectors. The next wave of employment is expected ton fall.

A selection of employed people is typical for Ikea way. After reviewing the received biography, the selected candidates will be contacted by telephone for interview and interviews method of face-to-face. After these procedures, candidates will pass the testing process in the so-called evaluation center where they will be assessed in addition to business skills and personal values of candidates compliance with the values of the company.

The foundation stone for the construction of the first Ikea store in Serbia, which will be located on the highway Belgrade - Nis on Bubanj Potok, is set in mid-April. Investment worth 70 million euros, which will occupy more than 30,000 square meters, will have a parking area with 1,500 places, a restaurant with more than 500 seats, bistro, shop of Swedish food and games room, and a full range of about 9,500 products for home decoration, high quality and attractive design, at prices that will be affordable to the citizens of Serbia.
