HUNGARIANS ARE STRENGTHENING THE FENCE ON THE BORDER WITH SERBIA: They want to stop the migrants who cross the border illegally

Hungarian soldiers started strengthening the fence on the border with Serbia, as a reaction to the recent influx of illegal migrants, stated Hungarian Ministry of defense.

Temporary rail was erected in fall 2015, and the army helped making it, in order to stop illegal migrants crossing, reported the agency MTI.

Soldiers stationed near the border first took part in making a fence, and then they helped local police in border control.

MTI reporter stated that the soldiers started making the rail on several locations between Kelebia and Asotalom where only barbed wire used to be, because the terrain was very difficult to cross.

Hungarian police stated that since Monday to Saturday 897 illegal crossings have been recorded, whereas in the last 3 weeks the number was 822.
