Protests of the opposition held on March 9, 1991 were part of a secret plan of the Yugoslavia military to arrest the president of Serbia Slobodan Milosevic and the president of Croatia Franjo Tudjman, claims the leader of Serbian Radical Party, Vojislav Seselj.

Several days after that, the High Command of the Yugoslavia People's Army was supposed to bring the decision of military dictatorship and the greater role of the Army.

Some members of the Presidency of Yugoslavia thought of that measure as military coup.

Seselj claims that the first man of the protests, Vuk Draskovic, was under control of the intelligence offices and army, and that he possesses information about the planned arrest of Milosevic and Tudjman!

- Draskovic himself said in his book "Target" that in 1990 he was in close collaboration with army intelligence office. General Aleksandar Vasiljevic led him personally with the Army Chief of Staff Blagoje Adzic, and the Serbian counter-intelligence office found out about those talks.

They also had Djordje Bozovic Giska and Branislav Matic Beli under control, and they formed the Serbian guard and threatened Milosevic - said Seselj and added:

- At that time, Milosevic had no control over Army. Ministry of Defence and the Army Head Quarters had their own plan to organize a putsch.

However, according for Seselj, even though foreign intelligence offices took part in this, Army was not strong enough to pull it off because they did not have the proper leaders.

- Milosevic had major police support and the officers decided to abandon everything.
