Telegraf's interlocutor did not find a girl from Serbia willing to come to the village.

He decided to go to Albania.

Even though the route is long, and the gas expensive, this trip could not have cost 7.000 Euros, which is how much he has given so far.

A bride from Albania never reached Sumadija.

He was not even aware that he was tricked.

He just said that his luck was bad.

- My cousin Ljuba found this lady who poses as a matchmaker between Albanian women and our men. He had to do this, our girls will not go to the village, they rather stay in the city working for 120 Euros in a Chinese shop, thinking of themselves as ladies. To cut a long story short, my cousin went to Albania to get a bride - said his cousin.

He made a deal to pay 30 Euros per day to the matchmaker, her assistant, and the driver, plus the expenses.

There, they spoke with an Albanian willing to get them a bride willing to live in Serbia.

- My cousin went to Albania for the first time, spent 4 days and met his future wife. They talked, the Albanian translated, they held hands and exchanged small gifts. My cousin came back to Serbia like drugged. He said that the bride was beautiful, nice, modest, a dream for every man. This trip costed almost 1.000 Euros, with all the expenses.

After meeting her, the day came to go for the bride and get her back.

Again he paid for the matchmaker, her assistant, food, drinks, hotel.

This time, he was supposed to pay 4.500 Euros for the Albanian who found him the bride.

- He paid, she went into the car and they all embarked towards Serbia. He told me that the bride was said, she was crying the whole time, sad for leaving her family, especially sister. That is why they decided to make a stop at a tavern so that she could compose herself. When they stopped, she asked to go and call her sister one more time before crossing the border. After that, she never came back to the table - said the cousin.

Ljuba went outside with the matchmaker and her assistant to look for her, but she was nowhere to be found.

The only logical solution was that someone had been waiting for her at the other side, and that she ran away.

- Only then did I remember that he had told me that the Albanian had told him that he guarantied for the girl until she was in the car. When Ljuba asked the matchmaker what to do, she yelled at him, stating that it was his fault for not keeping a close eye on the bride! The worst thing is that he still thinks that the girl had changed her mind, he does not believe that he was a victim of a fraud.

Poor Ljuba is turning 40 in two years and he is alone.

He spent his entire savings to get the bride, but he does not want to quit.

He is looking for another agency to find another bride, like the former was.

His cousin said that Ljuba is an extremely diligent man, a good worker, but that he is extremely naive, in want of wife and children.

The tricked groom's name is not really Ljuba, this name was chosen because his cousin insisted on total anonymity, because other people would laugh, but he also wanted to send a clear message to young people.
