A man approximately 50 years of age walked into the "Petkovic" sweet shop around 12:30 PM, March 21, showed the bomb to the workers and told them to get out.

Then he lay on the bomb and activated it.

The girl working in the pastry shop nearby thought that someone had shot her colleague.

- I heard the detonation and thought that someone had shot my colleague working at the sweet shop. I ran to help and saw her running away to the street. She ran to the other building and started yelling on the intercom: "A man killed himself, a man killed himself!" - said the girl who works next door from the sweet shop where the tragedy occurred.

This sweet shop belongs to the former Minister of Culture Bratislav Petkovic, who lives in the building opposite.

Petkovic is convinced that the attack had nothing to do with him personally.

He stated that he does not know anything about the details, except that it is a suicide.

- I do not know anything still, I was not in the shop. The only thing I heard was that it was a suicide - said Petkovic.
