The most notorious Serbian fugitive transferred to prison: "The Cat man" is locked up!
To minimize the possibility of a new escape, Alen Cigler (37), better known as "The Cat man" was transferred from his cell to the most secure penitentiary in Padinska skela prison.

This man from the city of Subotica has been known to the police since he was 14 years old, he took part in many chases, but also escaped form prisons several times.
Namely, he jumped over walls, walked on roofs and wires, broke a window in the toilet just to avoid being detained in the police station.
Just like in a movie, Cigler escaped from the prison in the city of Subotica in Augist 2012, where he was serving a 12-year-sentence, thus getting the nickname "The Cat man".
During a morning walk, he suddenly stopped, run against the wall and started climbing like a cat, holding for window bars.
In this manner he got to the window on the second floor office which he broke with his foot.
Then, he ran to the window looking to the street and escaped.
He was arrested a week after near the border with Hungary - report Novosti news agency.
He escaped again in May 2013, only 5 months and 24 days before releasing when he did not return from his weekend off.
He was arrested again 4 months later due to a suspicion that he committed robbery of money exchange offices in the city of Subotica and Palic.
After the final arrest, Cigler was put again in the Subotica prison, but he was transferred to the central prison in Belgrade in order to prevent another escape.
There are some statements that say that the barbed wire fence was set up beofre he was transferred.
Court of appeal in the city of Novi Sad confirmed the 5-year-sentence due to robberies, and Cigler will serve the punishment in the Padinska skela prison.
