Novak Djokovic's father about Federer: No one has ever humiliated Novak that much!

Novak's father gave an extensive interview for the Newsweek in which he spoke about  the details of his son's beginnings, and about the relation between Novak and other rivals.

It is not a secret that Novak and Federer were not in a good relation, especially when Djokovic started playing.

Federer would often criticize Djokovic and his forfeits when he had problems with health.

Srdjan Djokovic pointed out that Federer's behaviour was scandalous during the match of Davis cup in 2006 when Novak was only 19.

- Everybody has a right to their opinion, and this is mine. When Serbia played against Switzerland in Geneve in 2006, Novak was only 19. He had problems with his sinuses and could not stand long matches or long points.

- Federer used every opportunity to snide him for his problems. He showed that he was the best player in the world, but not the best person. The thing I do not understand is why Federer is still playing? He is already 34 years old - said Srdjan Djokovic.

RIVALRY WITH MURRAY AND NADAL

- As far as Murray is concerned, they grew up together, they are great friends. In this moment they cannot spend time together because they are rivals, but after their careers I believe they will become closer.

When talking about Nadal, Srdjan has a different opinion than about Federer, and he hopes that the Spaniard will overcome his problems and that he will play for several years more.

- Novak is in good relations with all of them. They should all hang out and show respect to each other because they know how hard it is to reach the place where they are.

- Rafael Nadal is a legend of an era, but his game is a lot different than Novak's and Federer's. He spends a lot of energy on the court. His style is hard to play with. But, world tennis still needs Nadal, he has to go back. I hope that he will play for several years more.

ABOUT THE NOVAK'S CHILDHOOD

- He was our first child and we greeted him with lots of love because he was the first son and grandson. The difference between us and the countries in the West is that we want to be present in the lives of our children 100%. That is why we are so connected.

- There is a special, unconditional love we cultivate to one another. Novak was the most beloved. Four years after we got Marko, and then Djordje. When Novak was a bit over 2 years old, we moved to Kopaonik mountain. We opened a restaurant and the sport goods store. The children grew up there and learned to live.

- When Novak was 3, he used to help the workers who were making the tennis courts. He would bring them food and drinks. He established a relation with the court. I saw the love in his eyes when he would see the court and that is why I bought him a small racket and a fluffy ball.

- That became his most treasured item in life. He loved that toy better than anything else. When he turned 4, we visited the tennis camp in the city of Novi Sad. He started playing there, and the rest is history. He was born for this sport. My biggest wish was for my sons to become professional skiers, but I believe that this outcome is also good.

NOVAK TO BECOME THE BEST PLAYER OF ALL TIMES

- I believe he will be the best player in history. I have been saying that since he started playing. He will definitely be one of the best sportsmen in history. He has a gift sent from God. As family, we gave our best for this gift to be realized. He can win 10 Grand Slams more - Srdjan is confident.

AFTER NOVAK, SERBIA HAS NOTHING

- Novak is the symbol of modern Serbia, but I am sad because of that. He is the only bright light at the end of the tunnel in this moment. I am very concerned about the situation. What will happen when he stops playing?

- People in Serbia love Novak, he is like an idol to them. He is the living example how you can reach the unreachable with the support of your family - said Srdjan, stating the mental power of Novak.

- When he beat Federer in 2011 on US Open, 23.000 spectators out of 24.000 rooted for Federer. Novak won, took the microphone and said: "You are the best audience in the world". This is his mental power, he is like granite. When they are calling for Roger, he hears "Novak" in his head. When he stops playing, he will be respected even more because of his accomplishments.

BECKER BROUGHT STRENGTH TO NOVAK

- Becker brought him strength. He was different as a player, but he has a lot of experience.

- He talks about his mistakes and thus he prevents Novak from making the same. Novak did not know how to save his strength during the match. Now he knows this, and now he has enough Energy to win the match and the tournament - concluded Srdjan Djokovic.
