An engineer and an inventor Miloš Jakovljević from Belgrade invented the ecological water pump which does not have motor and it does not use electricity.

This pump can significantly enhance the irrigation of agriculture land.

Stating that only 3% of Serbian fertile land is being irrigated, and in the world this number goes up to 68%, Jakovljević said that the problem is to give the water the right direction.

One of the best solutions are water pumps which use no energy, do not have a motor and do not use electricity, said Jakovljević to Tanjug news agency.

As a base for creating this ecological pump Jakovljević used his pump he made 25 years ago and it works in the town of Sanski Most; this pump shoots water up to 185 m in height and 2.5 km in longitude.

He invented several types of these pumps - two-piston ones and the big, six-piston pumps which use the stream as the motion force.

- All of these pumps, and the newest water pump are eligible for fruit plantations with the drop-by-drop system but also for the other cultures - said Miloš Jakovljević

Small, two-piston pumps use the energy of the water free-fall with the hydraulic push.

They use pure kinetic energy to shoot the water to a higher level than the spring.

According to him, these pumps are perfect for mountainous regions, especially for eastern and western Serbia.
