DOCTORS TOOK OUT 4 TUMORS FROM STEFAN'S BODY: A feat of the doctors from the Clinical Center of Serbia!

- After 5 years I can smell again and I enjoy in it - said he.

Everything started as a cold, doctors gave different diagnosis, they treated him from allergies.

The result was that Stefan could not breathe through his nose nor smell anything.

In the Clinical Center of Serbia doctors set up a new diagnosis, a tumor on his base skull, orange-size.

- They told us right away that we cannot treat this tumor in Serbia, and sent us to Graz to have the surgery. We were supposed to call Republic Medical Insurance and they would cover the cost. But, our hopes were destroyed when they informed us from Austria that they cannot take the whole tumor - explains Jana Aleksić, Stefan's mother.

When they came back to Serbia, experts from the Clinical Center were called to have a consult.

They called Dr Pavlović from the ENT department.

- After we examined the complete documentation and had the consult, we decided to operate on the boy - said Dr Pavlović.

In the meantime, the team of endocrinologists with their leader Dr Srba Knežević discovered that Stefan had more tumors on his adrenal glands and that he suffered from the multi-tumor syndrome.

After 3-month-preparation, Stefan underwent the operation, during which another tumor was discovered on the pancreas, and it was safely taken out.

The final procedure on its skull was done by a neurosurgeon Dr Savić and ENT expert Dr Pavlović.

They did not open his skull, but they took out the whole tumor through his nose - reports Blic news agency.
