On his way home from Zemun, the officer was not in the uniform, and he heard the cried of the woman running down the boulevard of King Alexander around 11 PM.

Passers-by all moved aside, but the officer approached the woman, introduced himself and asked her what the point was.

Allegedly, the lady was just finishing up her shift in the kiosk when an unknown man went in, took a screwdriver out and threatened her, thus taking the money bag.

Just when the lady finished describing the burglar, Savić saw the man who matched the description.

He was 100 m away, going into the street-car.

The officer took out his badge, approached a car and asked the driver if he could hep him catch it.

On the crossroads of the boulevard and the Pop Stojan street Savić went out of the vehicle, stopped the street-car holding his badge.

When he entered, he saw the burglar, searched him and found the screwdriver and the load of cash.

He took the thief out, bound him, called the police patrol and gave the money back to the cashier.
